Reverend Father Andrew Schoenberger


Fr. Andrew Schoenberger was born in Edmonton, Alberta and moved to Bonnyville, Alberta when he was three years old. After graduating high school in 1999, he studied Philosophy at St. Peter’s Seminary and the University of Western Ontario in London, Ontario. After completing his B.A. in 2002, he began Theological studies at St. Joseph Seminary and Newman Theological College where he obtained his M.Div. in 2007. He was ordained a Priest on June 22, 2007 for the Diocese of St. Paul in Alberta. After ordination, he was appointed as Associate Pastor of St. John the Baptist Parish in Fort McMurray. In 2009, he was sent to Rome where he obtained a License in Systematic Theology at the Gregorian University in Rome in 2011. From 2011 to 2013, he was Pastor of St. Michael’s Parish in Elk Point, Alberta and St. Eugene’s in Fishing Lake, Alberta as well as working with the curia of his diocese. In 2013, he served as Pastor of St. Dominic Parish in Cold Lake, Alberta and its cluster parishes. He was appointed Pastor of St. John the Baptist Parish in Fort McMurray, Alberta in 2015 where he served until his appointment to St. Joseph Seminary in August of 2019.
