We are pleased to announce that Emmanuel Umeohanna from the Diocese of St. Paul, AB will be ordained as Transitional Deacon on December 8, 2023.
The Transitional Diaconate is the last phase of formation for a Seminarian. As an ordained Deacon, he can baptize, witness marriages, preside at funeral services outside of Mass, and preach the homily at Mass.
Emmanuel Umeohanna originates from Nigeria and is a Seminarian studying for the Diocese of St. Paul, AB, since August 2018. Emmanuel will celebrate his Diaconal Ordination on Friday December 8, 2023 at 6:30 pm, in St. Paul, AB.

On July 8, 2022 Rev. Shayne Craig, PSS was voted as the new Superior General of Saint Sulpice.
Rev. Shayne a past Seminarian, Director and Rector of St. Joseph Seminary will be leaving the Seminary after 28 years of Ministry at the Seminary.
Ordained a Priest for the Diocese of Victoria on June 28, 1992 the new Superior General will now be working in Montréal and Paris.
He is the first Canadian Sulpician to be named to this position.
