We are pleased to announce that Thomas Wollis from the Archdiocese of Grouard-McLennan will be ordained as Transitional Deacon on August 19, 2025.
The Transitional Diaconate is the last phase of formation for a seminarian. As an ordained Deacon, he can baptize, witness marriages, preside at funeral services outside of Mass, and preach the homily at Mass.
Thomas Wollis is a seminarian studying for the Archdiocese of Grouard-McLennan since 2017. Thomas will celebrate his Diaconal Ordination on Tuesday, August 19th at 6 p.m., MDT at St. Martin Parish, in Wabasca, AB.
